French door & Bi-fold shutters

Are you looking to add a covering to your bi-fold or patio doors? Good news – plantation shutters aren’t just for windows. Plantation shutters can be designed and installed in various ways including in front of the doors and also attached to the doors, making them perfect for all different styles of  doors.

Available in a range of beautiful styles and finishes, including a choice of materials, our plantation shutters are the ideal investment for your home, no matter where your doors are situated. Large glass expanses, including patio doors and bi-folds can be designed on a track to allow ease of access when entering and exiting the property.

Interior plantation shutters add an extra layer of insulation to your home and reduce heat loss when closed, keeping you warm during the winter, and can be tilted open to help you stay cool in the summer months. The best thing about our plantation shutters for doors?

They add style and shade to your property – giving your home a clean, modern look – but also add to the estimated market value. FAQ's

Using plantation shutters is becomingly increasingly popular for us at Horizon shutters. Whether it be standard french doors or large bifolds, there are various options available for us to ensure we design the most suitable plantation shutters for your doors.

There is no need to sacrifice practicality for style. At horizon shutters we understand every home is different and we ensure during the design process we go through all the options available to you.

Due to the different range of materials we use, there is a vast range of installation and design methods, from fitting in front of the doors to attaching the shutters straight onto the doors themselves. For large bi-fold areas, we can use shutters on a tracking system to allow you to completely tuck away the shutters when access is needed in and out of the home.

Whilst having shutters in front of doors will block out some view, there is no reason why shutters cannot be designed to offer both style and still leave a view to be admired.

We can design shutters using larger louvres, therefore reducing the obstruction in the glass, thus giving a better view. Shutters can also be designed to be opened fully which removes any obstruction of the glass.
